Brief Introduction: Doctor of History. Prof. Zhang has joined the faculty since 1989. He was the former Dean of the Museology Studies Department, a member of the Teaching Committee, and the curator of the Archaeology and Art Museum of Jilin University.

     He is currently a professor in the Museum of Archaeology College of Jilin University and a member of the academic committee of the college. He teaches more than ten courses, including “Introduction to Museology”. He has independently presided over and participated in more than ten projects including the Jilin Provincial Social Science Fund project, the major project of the key research base of the Ministry of Education, and the key textbook compilation project of the Ministry of Education’s “Ma Project”.

     He has also been invited to affiliate as the editor-in-chief of the “China Encyclopedia” (third edition) museum disciplines and museum history sub-disciplines, the key textbook of the Ministry of Education –“Introduction to Museology”, of which he wrote three parts: “Museology Development History”, “Foreign Museums”, “Development History of Chinese Museums”.

     He also published more than 60 papers on museology archaeology in “ICOFOM Study Series”, “Museology Quarterly”, “Archaeology” and other influential journals at home and abroad, and translated an archaeological work—“The Mysterious Sumerian”.
