Brief Introduction: Kuang Yaming Distinguished Professor at JLU, Deputy Director of Frontier Archaeology Research Center. He has been engaged in Molecular Archaeological research for a long time, exploring archaeological issues, including human origin and migration, agricultural origin, animal domestication, from the perspective of Molecular Genetics. For the first time in China, ancient DNA technology was fully introduced into the research on the origin and spread of animals raised in China, creating a new field of animal Archaeology research. This has provided molecular biological evidence for the exploration of the origin and spread of animals raised in China, the transformation of social and economic forms, the migration of ancient people, and economic and cultural exchange activities.

     Prof. Cai published more than 40 academic papers in famous journals such as “Journal of Archaeological Science”, “Molecular Biology and Evolution”, and “PNAS”. He edited the first Chinese archaeological textbook, “Introduction to Molecular Archaeology”, and took the leading role in compiling the first cultural relics protection standard in the field of molecular archaeology, which is titled “Technical Specification for DNA Acquisition of Human Remains Unearthed in Field Archaeology”.
