Brief Introduction: Prof. Wei has joined the Department of Archaeology at JLU since 2001. He mainly studies Physical Anthropology, with main focus on bronze from the perspective of population genetics – the pattern and dynamic distribution of populations in Eurasia in the early Iron Age. In addition, he explores the collection and interpretation of information carried in human remains during Field Archaeological Excavations. He participated in or presided over the excavation of Baotaping Cemetery in Fengjie, Chongqing, Jinjiaping Cemetery, Yuzui Site in Yunxian County, Hubei Province, and Zhuolu Ancient City Site in Hebei Province. From 2013 to 2014, Prof. Wei went to Kyushu University in Japan for academic communication and further study, with Professor Kazuo Miyamoto as his cooperative tutor. Currently, Prof. Wei teaches Physical Anthropology, and Anthropometry.
