Brief Introduction: Director of the Goguryeo Bohai Research Center, School of Archaeology, JLU, Kuang Yaming Distinguished Professor. Prof. Song’s main research field is the history and culture of Goguryeo and Bohai, and he teaches Goguryeo and Bohai Archaeology. He participated in compiling the heritage application text of the “Goguryeo Royal City, the Emperors’ Tombs and the Nobles’ Tombs”; presided over the excavation of the ancient Guonei City site; as the editor-in-chief and the first author, he published “The Ancient Guonei City – Trial Excavation Report on Ji'an Ancient Guonei City and Democratic Sites from 2000 to 2003”. Prof. Song presided over the excavation of the West Ancient City, which was selected as one of the “Top Ten New Archaeological Discoveries in the Country” in 2002. He also accomplished the 2003 National Social Science Fund General Project – “Research on the Former Site of Xiande Mansion in the Bohai State, Tang Dynasty”, and thus published “Western Ancient City — The 2000-2005 Report on the Field Archaeology of the Former Xiande Mansion Site in Zhongjing, Ancient Bohai State”.
