"Research of China's Frontier Archaeology" is an academic journal sponsored by the Frontier Archaeology Research Center of Jilin University, a key research base for humanities and social sciences of the Ministry of Education. Since its establishment in 2002, it has continuously published 26 series and has formed a certain influence in academic circles at home and abroad. In 2008 and 2012, it was selected into CSSCI (Chinese Social Science Citation Index) source journals for two consecutive times.
In order to publish new materials on field archaeology in a timely manner and reflect the new results of archaeological research, from 2012, the "Frontier Archaeology Research" will be increased to two series a year. While focusing on frontier archaeology, other archaeological discoveries and research manuscripts are also welcomed. The columns set up include: ① new discoveries in archaeology; ② research and exploration; ③ new horizons in archaeology; ④ archaeology and technology; ⑥ book reviews, etc.
